據CBC報道，皮爾區警方在週五收到多宗酒駕報告。

針對報告，警方當晚拘捕四名駕駛者。由於臨近節假日，酒駕報告增多，警方提醒群眾假如要參加聚會，務必叫上一個人不喝酒送別人回家，警方對酒駕人士不會手軟，例子包括在過去幾個月裡，一位富家子弟因為醉駕撞死一名老者和車上四個孩子，現已定罪。

孩子的父母今年首次獨自度過聖誕，在經歷這事故之後，母親已經簽名支持法律懲罰酒駕。
