據CBC新聞報道，Vaughan市政府今日宣佈，原定於週末舉行的Carnival Kingdom狂歡活動由於主辦方未能遵守某些規定而被撤銷活動許可證。由於距離活動開始僅幾小時，不少準備好狂歡的遊客十分憤怒，紛紛上社交網絡表達不滿。
Vaughan市政府發言人在一份聲明中稱執行人員有義務確保以公共利益出發，活動符合所有的條件。而且他們也接到了市民對於此次活動的投訴。
Staff revoked the permit of the event (SOS FEST) after it was determined that organizers did not comply with the terms of the permit. Enforcement staff are committed to taking the necessary action to ensure all permit conditions are followed in the best interest of the public.

不少民眾紛紛表達了自己的不滿，認為政府的做法“不可思議”。
This was beyond disappointing. Please indicate which terms specifically @SOSFestTO were in contravention of!!! We had guests visiting from around the world and this was not how we wanted them to experience Toronto!

Carnival Kingdom 在一份聲明中稱活動符合每一處流程。“許可證在活動2小時前被撤銷。而我們不清楚全部的理由。活動的每一處執行都完美地依據流程，保持專業。”
據該活動的Facebook頁面顯示，週六晚上的活動吸引了世界各地超過1萬人次。還有許多人專程飛來多倫多參加。該活動的Instgram 頁面稱退款將在72小時內發給購票者。（Alice編譯）
