距歐洲第二次世界大戰結束已有75年。因應疫情，今年5月8日的歐洲勝利紀念日的慶祝方式將截然不同。
6月5日晚上7時至8時，媒體被邀請參加由亞省省督和歷史與英雄基金會（Lieutenant Governor of Alberta and the History and Heroes Foundation）主辦的虛擬VE75慶祝活動。這個在線活動紀念荷蘭解放75周年、歐洲第二次世界大戰結束以及諾曼底登陸事件。
本次活動還有現任軍事領導人和第二次世界大戰的亞省退伍軍人發言，以及宣佈在SPIRT勝利演講競賽中獲勝的亞省高中生和軍校生。 屆時，還會有Paul Brandt的音樂表演。
